About Sanatan Setu Library
सनातन सेतु पुस्तकालय · A Bridge to Eternal Wisdom
Sanatan Setu Library is a sacred digital library dedicated to preserving, sharing, and celebrating the eternal wisdom of Sanatan Dharma. The word “Setu” means “bridge” in Sanskrit — and that is exactly what we aim to be: a bridge between the ancient wisdom of the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, and the modern seeker.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make the sacred texts, mantras, bhajans, and teachings of Hinduism freely accessible to every seeker, in every language, across every device. We believe that the wisdom of Sanatan Dharma belongs to all of humanity — not locked behind paywalls, restricted to scholars, or limited by geography.
Whether you are a devoted practitioner, a curious student, a scholar of comparative religion, or simply someone seeking peace through sacred chants, this library is built for you.
What You Will Find Here
- The Four Vedas — Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, and Atharvaveda, the foundational shruti of Hindu tradition.
- Upanishads — the philosophical teachings on Brahman, Atman, and liberation (moksha).
- The Bhagavad Gita — Lord Krishna's timeless teachings to Arjuna on dharma, karma, and bhakti.
- The Ramayana and Mahabharata — the great epics of dharma, devotion, and divine play (leela).
- Mantras and Bhajans — sacred chants and devotional songs, complete with meanings, transliterations, and audio where available.
- Teachings of the Saints — wisdom from Tulsidas, Mirabai, Kabir, Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Swami Vivekananda, and many more.
Our Commitment to Authenticity
All content on Sanatan Setu Library is curated with deep reverence for the tradition. Where possible, we cite the original Sanskrit source (Veda, Upanishad, Purana, or specific text). Translations are provided in multiple Indian languages and English, with care taken to preserve both the literal meaning and the spiritual essence of each verse.
We acknowledge that regional variations and different scholarly interpretations exist for many texts. Our translations represent one faithful reading — we encourage you to consult your guru, community, or additional sources for deeper study.
Multilingual Access
Sanatan Dharma speaks in many tongues — Sanskrit, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, Urdu, Nepali, Pali, Prakrit, and more. Our library supports 15+ languages, with AI-assisted translation to help seekers read sacred texts in their mother tongue.
Open Contribution
This is a community library. If you have a mantra, a bhajan, a teaching, or a translation you would like to share, you can upload it directly through our “Upload Content” button. All submissions are reviewed by our team before being published, to maintain the dignity and accuracy of the collection.
Who We Are
Sanatan Setu Library is run by a small team of devotees and volunteers who love the tradition and want to serve the global Hindu community. We are not affiliated with any single sect, guru, or political organization — our only affiliation is with the eternal wisdom of Sanatan Dharma itself.
Made with Devotion
This library is offered at the feet of the Divine, for the spiritual benefit of all beings. लोकाः समस्ताः सुखिनो भवन्तु — May all beings everywhere be happy and free.
